Gum Shoe Blues
Gum Shoe Blues I'd been working at this thrift store for about a week before I stumbled across the box. I say working, but it's more like volunteering. I'll save you the gory details, but needless to say that I screwed up after a night of drinking and ran into a bus stop with my car. Thankfully it was three am. There was no one in it, and the judge decided not to ruin my life over a mistake. He gave me community service and told me that it better never happen again. This was ideal since, as a college student, I don't have a lot of money. I also couldn't afford to get kicked out of college for going to jail either. So, with thirty-six weeks of community service to serve, I sat about working for my local thrift store, Charlies Second Chances.

Playing with dolls
I like to think that I’m your average 26-year-old male, I like the ladies, video games, sports and so on. I’m just a little different. I like to play with dolls. You know what I mean, don’t kid yourself. I like to make them date, go out, have a normal life just like us. Make them into real people, if you know what I mean. Pose them the way I want, make them do whatever I want. We all have our own god complex; this is the way I handle mine. Now don’t misunderstand what I’m saying, I’m not crazy or a homo or anything like that. It’s just that I have my own way of dealing with life and its downfalls. Not that I promote my lifestyle or anything of that nature, but it just seems to have always worked for me.

‘They/Them’ Movie Review
They/Them is a new Peacock original slasher film written and directed by award-winning playwright and screenwriter John Logan. The film is about a conversion camp for queer youth run by the charismatic Owen Whistler (Kevin Bacon) where we follow a group of new arrivals, particularly a nonbinary teen named Jordan (Theo Germaine). I don’t want to say anymore about the plot, but needless to say, they don’t exactly try to make queer conversion therapy look good (which it isn’t).

A Night to Remember
An insecure butterfly cocoons herself in the 2006 Sonata her father gave to her as a birthday present. Twinkling of stars shine on, leading to home, Henry. All the home she needs. Her cracked IPhone screen bears a message from her first love. She ignores the message, quickly adjusting her vehicle to the vicinity of the road. Another message. Tonight's prom night, he told her he didn’t want to attend. Not his scene after all. She peeps glances off the road, A cautious driver at its finest. From breaks between road signs and forming ellipses, she gathers the central theme.

The Last Door
One more door. That’s what I keep telling myself. One more door and that’s it for an entire glorious week. One week on the beach with Sarah and the kids. The fact that she invited me on this trip had to be a good sign, right? Maybe me moving back home and getting this stupid job proved to her that I was ready to be the husband and father that she had always wanted me to be. The mere thought of being back with my family made me take the stairs up to the door in twos. Who knows? Maybe I’d even get a sale at this one. I was feeling unstoppable.
