Grab your fedora and unfurl those wings, because the Creeper is back. After clawing its way out of development hell and being cocooned in a wave of controversy thanks to director Victor Salva, the forgotten threequel is finally making its way to cinemas. However, it sounds like you'll have to be quick if you want to catch the scent — this could be a blink-and-you'll-miss-it affair.

Not Your Day Of The Week: Horror Writer Reveals What Happened To The New 'Friday The 13th' Movie
Leatherface, Michael, Freddy, Chucky, and Jason — no, this isn't the lineup for a One Direction replacement, it is the cream of the horror crop who have graced our screens for nearly 40 years. However, while all these franchises have had their peaks and troughs, fans now find themselves asking when (and if) these screen icons should rise from the grave once more.

Freddy, Steady, Kill: 'Child's Play' Writer Reveals His 'Elm Street' Crossover Plans
Sharpen those claws and get ready for playtime, because Hollywood has just unloaded possibly its best idea since James Gunn decided to put David Hasselhoff on the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack. Horror mashups are nothing new to the genre, and the likes of Alien vs Predator show just how financially successful a pairing of gory greats can be for the box office.

Lemmy vs Pinhead in 'Hellraiser/Motorhead' Crossover Video is Every Fan's Dream!
While the internet is awash with news on the upcoming Hellraiser sequel/reboot I'm more interested in checking out Hellraisers past, like the time Lemmy fought Pinhead. I can hear you saying what? When did this happen? Well, it was for promotion of Hellraiser III Hell On Earth back in 1992, Lemmy's band Motorhead did a song for the movie aptly titled Hellraiser. Jason Voorhees is one bad man... er, zombie, thing, whatever. He took over horror movies and is now one of the biggest things in the gaming community. While Friday The 13th: The Game has been riddled with bugs and glitches, it's also an incredibly fun experience whether players are controlling Jason or a hapless counselor.

Though they may not always have the best of ratings, a good indie flick now and then always seems to recapture the essence of both storytelling and wild creative freedom. And when it comes to an individual movie genre, say the slasher kind, indies will never disappoint. Don't know what a slasher is? Then you should definitely learn your horror sub-genres before diving in.

Home Sweet Home
The ride back to her house was always one she enjoyed. Even though there were very few cars on the highway at this time of day, she always preferred to take the longer scenic route. The winding roads and beautiful foliage mixed with the purple, pink and orange hues the sky had created put her mind at ease. She turned the volume of her music up and sang along to Rihanna's "Same Ol' Mistakes" on repeat as she drove at a steady, comfortable speed.
