friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
How To Make Friends In Your 20s
It’s okay to admit it. You want to build new friendships but are unsure of how. Find solace in knowing you are not alone. There are millions of others like you who find themselves feeling the same way but are embarrassed to share it. There is a societal expectation that by the time we reach our twenties we have already established our lifelong friendships. That is the case for some but certainly not all. Relationships evolve, some fade, and others never have a chance at developing. We all have our unique means of connecting to others and they require some of us more time to craft healthy, fulfilling friendships.

Dreams
My body feels weightless, as if I’m floating through the air. I try opening my eyes, but they’re so heavy I only manage a small peak. Everything is foggy. I catch a glimpse of light above me, as I’m falling down. I continue downward, falling in this grey and blue-sh atmosphere. Just me, with the light above, shining over me. As I steady downward, I start spiraling. All of sudden, bright bubbles come out of me. I continue heading downward, more quickly now, the light becoming dimmer behind me.

Exes and Oh's: Part 22
SERENA Baytown was merely a twenty-two-minute drive from Pasadena, but it might as well have been a different coastal state all on its own. The small businesses in Town Square were charming but still held typical pop shops of goodness. I was shopping for some decor for one of the houses I was renovating at the moment, and I needed something that wasn't an antique piece. Although the farmhouse look was something Texans favored, it just wasn't my style. I needed a fresh look, something that hasn't been done before. Which was why when I saw Red Daddy's Furniture Store awning, I smirked, knowing I just had to go into a store with a name like that.

Dear Ex Best Friend
Dear Ex Best Friend, Since I was in 2nd grade, you were the person I knew I needed to keep around. You became my best friend, and you felt like my sister. Fast forward to 6th grade, we were reunited after being separated for two years by different schools. I remember you and everything after that. Even though we were young, I know that I always thought of you as my friend. I believed that was never going to change.

Friends with Selfishness
I had this friend for the most part of high school. She got close with one of my close friends and then I became friends with her. I didn’t know how I felt about her during the beginning of freshman year, but I warmed up to her. So did my other friends. The five of us were a group. Always together and always talking. We even have a group name, we called ourselves the ‘strawbabies’. We didn’t actually call ourselves that, but that’s what our group chat was called.

Exes and Oh's: Part 11
MARLEY The dance floor wasn't usually the first place I went to when I arrived at a party. It was amazing how much two cups of hard liquor could do to a person. I was halfway wasted and the music was flowing perfectly, every melody and rhythm forcing my hips to sway and shout every chorus. Michael kept up with me until the liquor had gotten to him too soon and he was now upstairs puking in the bathroom. I had asked him if he needed help, but he claimed he was perfectly fine. Why were men so stubborn, and bad? Sooooo bad. And sexy. Very sexy.
