You Ate What?

Believing the lie

What did you say? You ate what? We have been consumed with modern technology. Every week it seems there is some new innovation to consider. Never has it been more imperative to take a step back and revisit what we are dealing with, because everything has a consequence, good or bad.

What you put into your body is so important. The healthier we remain, the better a life we will have. So why are we putting Frankenfood into our bodies? It is so incredible to me that we constantly focus on living a healthy lifestyle, and yet we put garbage into our bodies.

I don’t know how a person, thinks a food is healthy, these days. We have fake meat, fake dairy, fake bread, fake everything. Let me clarify. Meatless burger, plant based burgers, non-dairy ice cream, flourless bread, are not real or wholesome foods.

What is wholesome and healthy, is unprocessed foods and foods as close to the source as possible. The processing of food involves chemicals. Chemicals cause cancers and long term illnesses. That being said, pesticides are a very real danger to the human body. Don’t believer me or take my word for it. Google the effects of pesticides on humans, then look up lawsuits on these chemicals. Don’t be lazy, do it. Your eyes moving across a page will not tax you, and if you can shoot off a text message with two fingers, in 30 seconds or less, it won’t wear your fingers out in exhaustion either.

The entire reason, I am writing this now is because I noticed something this morning. First a little background as to why I noticed it today.

My Lola eats Farmer’s Dog food. It is all natural, no chemicals, and not processed food. It is all natural with meats and vegetable that you or I eat normally. For me it is the closest I can get to the food source for my precious dog. She is 8 years old and still as active and happy as she was as a puppy. I do attribute that to the foods we selected for her since we got her.

That being said, her food comes frozen, and in a box each month, needing to be stored in the freezer, until we take it out for her to have. Yes, we have to thaw it in the fridge first, and we warm it up each feeding. Just like people food. It is after all, human grade food.

I have a designated space in one of the freezers for her food. That space allows for spill over of other frozen goods as well, and there happened to be a tub of ice cream there.

Well, we don’t eat that much ice cream, in our home, and we had purchased it for Christmas dessert. We had some with whatever pie we had that day, and it had been in there since. I didn’t particularly like it the last time I tried it, so it was still taking up real estate.

I took it out, and contemplated keeping it. It was an almost full container, of a brand of ice cream we don’t normally buy, but that was not why I tossed it. There was a taste that was off about it, as I remembered. Anyway, I put the tub into the sink and began running the hot water into the tub to melt the ice cream. That’s when I began to get that feeling that I was watching the Soylent Green movie. The “ice cream” was hardly melting. I ran the hot water for a few minutes, actually, and it barely made a dent. So, I picked up the tub, looked at the label and saw the deviously small innocuous print. “Non Dairy Dessert”.

Non dairy dessert. What on earth was it, then? I read the ingredients, and the first one was skim milk. Skim milk, not really milk in my book, and for this article I won’t consider it milk, since it is processed. It really should be called milk like, milk-esque, or milk water, in my book. Milk is a creamy and solid white beverage that includes its milk fat. Humans should not be drinking it to begin with, because it is food for a baby cow, just like breast milk is for human babies. I don’t think anyone would want to bottle our milk to drink it, so I am fairly confident, we should not be drinking the milk of a cow. Mind, you if a mom cannot nurse, then the milk from a cow is an alternative, I suppose.

Back to the ice dairy. After the first ingredient, there was only other natural, seeming thing, cream. Cream from what who knows, since skim milk is milk that has basically everything that makes it milk removed to the point of milky water. I keep thinking of the brown water that comes out of the tap when something has gone amiss with the public water system, and if I would not drink that, I certainly would not drink a watery milk type water either.

After the cream, the ingredients began ending in -ose, oils, gums and -ides. It went on to say it contained 2 percent or less of natural flavors, and that it contained bioengineered food ingredients. These “ingredients”, or poisons I would call them, were not melting. I left the tub in the sink and decided not to waste water, and a couple hours later it is still in there. Nice right?

The fact that I fed that to anyone, makes me sicker, than the idea of me eating it.

That being said, meatless meat, is not meat! Meat comes from animals. Period. Meatless meat is a bioengineered food substitute. It is not even food like, since food in its natural form never morphs into something it is not. It is made with soy beans most of the time, or pea protein, another bioengineered, super, processed, science experiment. There is no argument about this, as far as I am concerned.

Breads made with psyllium powder, milk made from nuts or oats, burgers and hot dogs made from soy, beans, peas, or what ever fancy devious food word they label it with, is not real and not natural. NOT NATURAL, no matter how big the “made with natural or naturally sourced ingredients” is on the package. The fact that it even has to say that, means it is processed into some kind of Frankenstein monster.

I get that some people have serious dietary allergies or conditions that cause them difficulties, but the solution is not making something through a chemical process to satisfy the need in people to “think” its the same, so they don’t have to feel like they can’t enjoy what others enjoy.

Why is the fact that you cannot absorb a fake and over processed food, a bad thing?

It is your body saying, “stop! I won’t eat that, and if you make me, I’ll make sure you know my displeasure.” It is the body’s natural, there is that word, natural, reaction to unwholesome items.

See, our bodies tell us what is good or not. We, as a world have just tuned it out so our taste buds can assume reign over us. Natural foods are not fancy. They are real. Real is good.

We have a government that keeps giving these corporations in the food business the green light to poison us, in order to maximize their profits, so they can feed their insatiable stockholders. Chemical companies need something to do, and since they too have profits to make, they engineer chemicals that kill bugs, blight, that make a crop resistant to molds, drought, heat, cold, and so on. The idea is a good one, but the result is only good for the pharmaceutical companies, the insurance companies, and the medical field.

Think about it. Look at the “food chain” per se. The farmer needs an income. That income cant come if the fields die off or are ravaged by something that kills its yield. The chemical company makes this miracle compound you can spray in order to maximize yields and improve its resistance to nature. That chemical is in the food, that is then over processed into boxed food, frozen food, instant foods, and so on. That food is ingested, and the chemicals with it, which has now been again, altered by another chemical process to make it shelf stable.

The farm makes its money, the pesticide company makes its billions, the stores make their billions, because they have mouth watering products you can’t live without, and it doesn’t stop there.

The food you put in you, causes a slew of illnesses and diseases, that will hit you when your body, finally rebells and says its had enough. The chemicals don’t metabolize, or worse still, they get into your system, your dNa at a cellular level. That cancer that comes later in life, more than likely comes from the foods you ate, the pesticides used in the growing of the food, the processing, and over processing of these things into “edible” content.

Then the magic happens. The doctors get their cut, because you will be spending a lot of time seeing them. Big Pharma gets their share of the cash cow too. Again, you will be needing to use their processed and over processed chemicals experiments. Oh, yes, you will need long term use of their poisons, in order to make you feel better, correct something serious that your choices have caused, or to stave off death.

Please note that pharmaceutical companies are not in it to win it, so to speak. There is no billion dollar parachute for a CEO if you are curing anything, eliminating the need for their products. No, they make maintenance products. They make things that alleviate symptoms, only. That is all. Trust me when I say that that medicine you are using for whatever problem you are trying to correct, is only making new ones.

Look, I am not some freak about organic foods or conspiracy theories on any of these things. I am a realist who has done a lot of reading on the issues. I worked in the medical field for years and I watch what happens in life, and remember it. Everything I am saying has a progression and is common sense. Nothing more. You don’t need a degree in bioengineering to know something is not good for you. You just need common sense.

In the case that you are now saying to yourself that you eat organic, don’t pat yourself on the back. Every single chemical, process, and poison I am speaking about is in the ground. Even if the product has to have had, so many years without pesticides in it, it still has them. The toxins are in the ground which is not self contained, it is all interconnected and the crap seeps into every field. Your meat eats it, you eat from it, and the water you drink, that waters the crops and the animals are all contaminated with mad scientists’ creations.

We have no options, no power to stop it, no voice to hear us. I am not sure we ever will. What I do want to say in all of this is, be mindful. Think about what you put into you and your family. The closer you are, with your foods, to the immediate source, or the really natural product, the better. You don’t have to make some weird burger with chemistry so that you look like you are eating a burger with everyone else. If that burger is made to mimic and taste like the real thing, then eat the real thing. It tastes better. It is far healthier. If you have a reason for not eating something like meat, then live your truth, because if you are having that meat “tasting” burger, meat looking burger, it’s the actual meat you are wanting, and there is a reason for that.

Eat well, be well, and live well, everyone, as close to it as you can get or afford. And remember, nothing these companies do, is for your good. It is all for profit. That is the nature of the beast.
