Iām the resident event planner amongst my friends and, in total, Iāve voluntarily planned 13 weddings (and I donāt know how many other events)āall on shoestring budgets. Iāve cut costs by doing everything from drapping huge rolls of plastic instead of cloth across ceilings of gyms for a few hundred dollars, to coming up with ten centerpieces for only $20 (for all ten centerpieces). You name the budget issue, Iāve tackled it.

Chainmaille
Today I want to discuss a subject that is near and dear to my heart: chainmaille. Those of you who found me through writing may not realize that my primary occupation is actually that of a chainmaille artisan. I donāt create combat ready armor (but I hope to add that to my list one day), but instead focus on beauty and costume. I love the colors and the possibilities. I thrill at seeing a pile of rings become something beautiful and unique.

'Excitebike' Perler Bead DIY
Greetings, Vocal readers. Itās been a while since Iāve done a perler bead DIY. The last one Iāve done was the Nintendo logo, which was about a month ago. In case you havenāt seen it, Iāll post a link to it at the end of this article. In this article, Iāll show you how to make this rider that you see above from Excitebike. This game made its debut on the Famicom in 1984 and as a launch title for the NES a year later. When I first played it on the NES Classic a couple of years ago, it wasnāt like any of the other racing games that I was used to playing. Every time I would jump over a ramp, I would fall off my bike. So long story short, I placed 23rd in a race and havenāt played that game since. Hopefully Iāll play it again someday and improve.
