Stop Suppressing Sustainability
I think in the current climate of sustainability and zero-waste becoming "popular movements," we sometimes overlook how much of a privilege living a sustainable lifestyle can be and/or the amount of criticism those trying to become more sustainable can face. Becoming sustainable—in any capacity—can be difficult for a number of reasons and it's extremely hard to be perfect in every realm of it. I feel like it's an area of life similar to when someone is turning vegan and they are criticised for still eating cheese or questioned as to why they do one thing and not the other—sustainable lifestyles seem to be coming under the same fire recently, and it needs to stop.

A Planner's Paradise
HI, my name is Ashley, and I am a planner. Okay, there it is, my (not-so-secret) secret. Over the last few years, I have been on a mission to organize my life. Whether or not I have been successful in this attempt, though, is up for grabs. In an effort to continue this mission, I'm going to share with you some helpful planning/organizing tips, tricks, and ideas for bettering yourself and your agenda.

Fun and Affordable Things to Do with Friends
Let's not beat around the bush, it's clear there's a wide range of options we would all love to do when hanging or chilling with our vast array of friends and colleagues, however they are often inexpensive or far too difficult to look into. Most times, we tend to come up with our plans rather last minute, or often never at all, thereby allowing the "wind to take us" so to speak, which in my opinion is the best of strategies, but not always the most affordable.

What's In My Purse?
Let me tell you. For us girls, we always carry our life in our purse. At least that's the case for me. When I switch purses over, it's usually all nice and neat and organized. Until it's not. More stuff gets put in it and then it's basically a junk purse if you want to call it that. Before I cleaned mine out, it was filled with wrappers, receipts, random papers, etc. Now it's back to being my purse, with a few extras not being trash. I call it my mommy purse. I do carry some extra baby stuff in my purse on days where I just don't feel the need to carry the baby backpack. But that will be a different blog. For now, here is my updated collection of what's in my purse.

Tools of Pattern Making
All beautiful garments go through a process of an idea, design, pattern, and, finally, construction before we see the beautiful final work. I compiled a list of tools that are needed for the process of making a pattern design and tracing it over to fabric. All of these items are essential to the pattern maker.
