humanity
Isn't it ironic that the very best of humanity is seen through the love and empathy we show to our pets?
Lesser Known Animal Saviours and Charities Worth Donating To
Whilst my passion and love for all animals means that choosing the charities for this piece was incredibly hard, I decided to go a little bit off the beaten path and not opt for obvious choices that already have huge worldwide organisations and adverts all over the television. Instead, I went with a few independent rescuers and animal lovers that are close to my heart.

Save the Animals
There is so much beauty on such a small planet within the universe. There is also so much that we are not educated on. This earth is the only known planet that is capable of inhabiting life. We, as a whole, need to try our very best to make sure that this planet is well taken care of. So many things are happening in our world that is destroying our planet, some of which are out of our control. We should try to fix the things that are in our control. One of the things that is really going to hurt our planet in the long run is animal abuse. Without animals, our planet could possibly deteriorate. We should boycott animal abuse agencies to show that we want them shut down. Animals should not be held captive for entertainment, trained to do unnatural things, overpopulated at a store, used to test cosmetics on, or worn as a pair of boots. There are so many different ways to make a change to save these incredible creatures.

10 Reasons Why Pets Are Amazing. Top Story - December 2017.
Bruce Cameron wrote, "When we adopt a dog or any pet, we know it is going to end with us having to say goodbye, but we still do it. And we do it for a very good reason: They bring so much joy and optimism and happiness. They attack every moment of every day with that attitude."

Pets and Babies
Pets are strange sometimes. To many people, pets are their children. Some people dress them up. Some people carry them around with them wherever they go. Some people have endless photoshoots with their pets commemorating their lives. And some people go to extremes that I can't even bring to mind at the moment.

Adjusting to Life Without a Pet
I had never lived a day without a pet. Before I was born, my parents had already adopted a dog they named Jackson. Jackson was a beagle-basset hound mix. He was black with white splotches. From what I understand, he was a bit of a handful. My parents have told me a story where he had eaten an entire thing of Vaseline and, the next morning, regretted it. When my parents brought me home, he wasn't sure how to handle it. I'm sure it didn't help that when I learned motor control, I would pick on him by tugging on his floppy ears. Then, as Jackson and I aged, we became the best of friends. By the time I had reached the fourth grade, he very much became my dog. He slept in my room, typically on my clothes. I fed him, let him outside, and played fetch with him. In his old age, he became a grumpy old man. Of course, I'm assuming this is due to the fact that we had adopted another dog who is a psycho towards any other animal. Anyway, Jackson began to only tolerate the rest of my family, but his love for me remained the same until he passed away.

Why, On an Abstract Level, I’m Against Pets
People like to criticize PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, because of how many animals they euthanize. These armchair critics would have us believe that PETA euthanizes them because they don’t care about animals.

A Pet's Life
Being a cat owner since I was born, I was brought up living with a variety of different breeds of cats. Although learning to love dogs, there is something special about having a companion. Even for younger kids, their companions could be anything, but learning to love a living animal could help them in later life.
