Edit Your Photos to Sell Your Product and Brand
Ask any entrepreneur and he or she will say that this profession is not for the faint of heart. A majority of entrepreneurs begin by funding their own business. And this means we are a one person show. For me, this includes everything from making my products by hand and from scratch to taking and posting the product pictures and listings. Branding is important. But you can’t really brand unless you actually know what your mission is and what you and your product stand for. For crafting entrepreneurs like myself, this often is directly or closely tied to our personal lives, journey and history.

Snow App: Instant Doll-Like Perfection
Do you love taking selfies? If you answered no, then this post probably isn't for you. Also, stop lying. If you answered yes then let me introduce you to my favourite, easy to use photo editing app. Some of us don't have much talent when it comes to photography and some of us (me!) are just lazy.

For the Grid
Find yourself a mini photog. First off, can we take a minute to appreciate my daughter Isla's gift to capture the most ridiculous photo's of me? "hey mom, I took pictures the whole time", so many outtakes, haha! These usually end up in the never-to-be-seen-by-the-light-of-day album, but once in a while a hilarious winner such as this one emerges.

Four Tips for Creating That Perfect Picture. Top Story - March 2021.
Have you ever taken the perfect picture, sat back, and just thought, “This is it. This is the picture,” before you ever put it through any editing applications? Before you’ve even touched the white balances, the contrast, the sharpness, it’s just beautiful? Yeah, me neither.

Behind The Shot: Endless Horizons
Post-production is one of the best ways to create a unique look to your imagery and stand out in a world filled with photographers. While the idea of editing and photo manipulation is still not widely 'accepted' by many in the world, I honestly believe that post-production is the future of photography. Every single photographer edits their images to at least some degree. In fact, Peter Lik, one of the world's most famous landscape photographers who has sold over $500 million worth of prints, heavily relies on post-production in order to make his images stand out and attract buyers.

Where in the World am I?
Ever since Nicéphore Niépce found a way to photograph what he saw, people have used the medium to express art. Professional photographers use the camera to entice people to travel to new places, and have new experiences, and to record important events. No one could sell anything without a great photographer to show their product to its best advantage.

How to create your Instagram aesthetic! . Top Story - March 2021.
My Instagram feed is an expression of who I am. As a creative, it's my brand. I am in no way any form of influencer, but yet I've had work from my Instagram, made connections, and I enjoy playing with my own aesthetic. When I look back on memories, or trips I've taken, I like my feed to represent that moment in time. Like a public scrapbook of images.

A Sea of Dreams: Before & After. Top Story - March 2021.
You want to see the before photo? *GASP* That's like asking to see me in the morning without my mascara & eyeliner! BUT WHYYYYY?! I used to wonder this... why would anyone want to see the before photo? If you're a client, maybe you want to double check you "look ok?" or you aren't making a "weird face"? As a photographer...perhaps you think all photo's come out of camera perfect and ready to go? (Not to say that some styles lean this way...mine does not) Maybe you need more insight into what the possibilities lie ahead?

Simplified Photography Editing
Although I have did digital imagery and digital art creation for previous companies when working for them. When it comes to my own photography, I find that I’m often the exception to the digital world. I like my images to reflect the natural state in which I took them. Perhaps this lends itself to honesty or creativity, I’m not sure, but I don’t like to do massive photo edits.

Filters with Accurate Energy
It was yet another cold day under the powerful air conditioning vent in Kelsey Renfrew’s university office, and it was yet another day of no great ideas for her club’s charity gala. All of the proceeds would go to the local homeless shelter in an attempt to supply free menstrual products to underprivileged women, whose voices were rarely heard…but donating the money was only possible if Kelsey got the money—if Kelsey could figure out some kind of theme or gimmick to draw the public in.
