Beautiful backdrop and much needed reminder to have gratitude in all things. Loved it

I don't know how I missed this Sharon. I love dianthus. They are a perennial, and I have them in Rick's memory garden, and they come up every year. I didn't know the meaning. - "flower of the gods" - I have researched the meaning of the colors. I am a gardener, and I love flowers. Great article, - I enjoyed it thoroughly. Now I want to ask you - how to you put on the flower on this between stanza's. I always wanted to know how to get the things on and the emoji's. I have been on Vocal for a year now, and still don't know how to do it.

  • This is beautiful and I love the idea of the colourful carnations contrasting with the snow. A poetic and colourful poem. ๐Ÿ’

Dianthus- most bouquets, huh! Lovely poem and the colors spoke to me especially against the frosted window.

Mother Combs, reading this feels like stepping into a cozy, sunlit room where the world slows down. The combination of colours, scents and meanings makes your flowers almost tangible.

Dear StepMum - My garden is covered with carnations - we don't have freezing temps here, so they bloom all year - As Vavaldi might say, we don't have the (4) seasons. I have a potted plant supervisor, Mz. PottyMouth, who instructs other potted plants to bloom. My wife, Rita Louise, used to 'Vase' them throughoutย our house with the fragrant scent permeating fresher than any commercial spray scent. Now my housekeeperย doesย that special job. She even regularlyย totes them to neighbors who love them too.ย  As I said in my story 'Wise~Guys,' I hope this amuses U'z...! J-Bud in sunny L.A.

Carnations showing up in January makes me feel like a reminder that beauty doesnโ€™t wait for perfect seasonsโ€”it just blooms anyway. ๐Ÿ’–

This is lovely, Sharon and nice to see you tackling your own 6w6l form again. Love that it is poetic and full of facts too. Carnations are often underrated. You raise their standing with this poem.
