Drowning is Never Easy

to my father

I feel trapped

By this incomprehensible fear

And you don't have the time

You all leave me behind

And I tell myself it's fine I'm just alone

You're holding me tight

But you're making me cry

I guess that's what happens when you are alone

You trying to do more for me

Always ends up hurting me

You put me in positions

Where I have to choose

Between my freedom or traditions

No doubt I'm alone

And I can't help but blame you

Drowning is never easy

And neither is trying to please you
