I always worry

if I tell it as it is

that I'll scare the majority

away from me.

I always worry

if I say how I feel

how much I love someone

it will push them

away from me.

I always worry

if I speak the truth

how much I need

attention and adoration,

respect and reverence,

that it will be taken

away from me.

If I admit it

just how much I need

to knowI always worry

if I tell it as it is

that I'll scare the majority

away from me.

away from me.

I always worry

if I speak the truth

how much I need

attention and adoration,

respect and reverence,

that it will be taken

away from me.

If I admit it

just how much I need

to know

I'm not middle of the road—

but hated or loved.

I'm not middle of the road—

but hated or loved.

Please just go in like a wrecking ball and be fiercely loved or brutally rejected...it will all be over with too quickly to live any other way.

Saying I relate to this wouldn’t even be nearly enough to express how I feel about this one. Hit me like a goddamn bullet to the head, Paul. My god.

  • Well said! You’re loved!😅🤗✅

Are you in my head? You're in my head, aren't you? Wonderfully done, Paul <3

Such human worries that we always overthink. Great poem, Paul!

  • For what it's worth, I always prefer people to be brutally honest. Loved your poem!
