Just a sinner
im not making it to heaven

I’m not making it to Heaven,
Those golden gates don’t want me.
I’m too much of a no-good sinner,
And baby, that is just fine by me.
Because I have lied on a Sunday,
I have fought and swore.
I have cheated and gambled,
I’ve been labeled as a whore.
Heaven has closed their pearly gates
And hell opened their irons.
The angels want nothing to do with me,
But the devils will welcome me with warm arms.
I’m just an everyday sinner,
No church to follow or religion to praise.
Just a common girl sinner,
Alone for most of my days.
Heaven can only watch me now,
Burning down the bridges and roads
Of the Sacred plans.
Hell is waiting for me,
Ashes in my hands,
a voice ripe with odes.
I’ve made my peace of being denied my holy reward.
Hell, I made my peace with my damnation.
Heaven doesn’t want me,
Hell is waiting for me.
I’m just a sinner,
A no good,
Common day,
Hedonistic,
Liar and cheater.
Just a sinner.
The Sex was good,
The whiskey was sweet.
Now heaven can be watching me burn bright.
Im just a sinner.
Hell is waiting for me...

I started writing because it was a good outlet for a lot of reasons. But I love writing. I love having others read my work. I love hearing feedback. Someday, I want to turn my work into a book.
