The Sea Within Me

Writing is my horizon, my refuge, and my strength.

By Magma StarPublished about 2 hours ago 1 min read

Writing has always been my sanctuary, a place where the noise of the world fades and the rhythm of my soul takes over. This poem was born in the quiet hours of the night, during a time when I realized that every word I write is a wave of healing. As I prepare to celebrate my birthday on February 27th, I want to share this piece of my heart with you. It is a reflection of my journey, my survival, and the endless horizon of hope that writing provides.

I worked all night,

and my heart is full.

Writing for me is like the sea –

when I enter it, time disappears.

Sometimes calm and quiet,

sometimes deep and powerful,

but it always cleanses me.

Every letter is like a wave I send towards the shore –

it will touch someone’s feet,

someone’s heart.

And that is why nothing is hard.

Because when I write,

I swim within myself.

In the depths I find what

I didn’t even know I carried.

I emerge different –

lighter, clearer.

Sometimes words carry me gently,

and sometimes they overwhelm me like a storm,

but even then I know –

the sea does not destroy me, it shapes me.

Writing is my horizon.

My endless width.

My refuge and my strength at the same time.

And while others sleep,

I listen to how the waves breathe within me.
