Three Seconds
A true story of love that started with a glance and lasted a lifetime.

I saw your face three seconds on the screen and thought you must have made a mistake. People like that don’t look for me. But I clicked yes. Out of curiosity. And out of some silent hope I had carried within me for years. We talked for a long time. As if we already knew each other. As if distance has no real measure when two people listen to one another. I didn’t see you, but I felt you. And that was enough while for others it was nothing.
Four years later we met in Paris. Five days of reality did not change what was already certain — it only made it visible. Then I had to go far away. Too far for a hug, but not for us. For seven months we shared days through the screen, without a schedule, without sleep, always with the same thought: that this must not be lost.
When we met again, we didn’t wait. We got married as if we had been doing it forever. Today, years later, we live that same love that started in three seconds and never rushed to become anything else.
Maybe love doesn’t ask for signs or miracles.
Maybe it only asks that we recognize it when it appears
and remain faithful to it.
