The Spark Between Us
When a Single Glance Changed Everything
You were standing there, quiet and still,
A stranger, yet a pull so real—
A glance, a spark, an unspoken word,
In that moment, my heartbeat stirred.
Eyes met in a flash of fate,
No plan, no path, just open gates
To something more than I had known,
In one look, a world was shown.
The room fell away, soft and dim,
Time paused, held breath, on a whim.
Just us, suspended in the glow
Of a spark we couldn’t let go.
A promise there, though nothing said,
A silent flame, a path ahead.
For in your eyes, I found a start—
The fire that warmed a waiting heart.

Pearl
1980 something. we all hung out at Pearl and you and i were nothing special, or so i thought. i mean we all danced, drenched in our own sweat, our own saline solution of fear, too many beers, shots, laughter, tears, fucks in the bathroom and i don't know when we began to be afraid. do you?
