Eliminating Vulgar Shirts
In 2020, we have seen a diversity of different style of fashion across the globe. We had (and still have) casual business fashion, gothic fashion, grunge-like fashion, western fashion, hip hop fashion, sporty fashion, bohemian fashion (having a major heart eyes moment), and even, believe it or not, anime style fashion. There are other styles, and I am sure that I have seen them all. I have seen camouflage rompers, spandex miniskirts, thick thigh-high socks, floral button up men’s shirts, Fedora hats, cheeky jean shorts, and even pants on the ground. The list is endless. By the way, I am not hinting which ones from the list I like or dislike.

A One Legged Cat Suit Has No Home in My Closet
There has certainly been a lot of interesting fashion trends over the years. Some statements seem to keep recycling through the decades like those who are mad for plaid or the hippie tie dye trend. I can tolerate those in small doses and personally have indulged. Other fads like Uggs which I cannot stand and have never owned, and the low sagging pants with half the derriere exposed get no love from me. Overall, the cringe worthy fringe seen on everything from purses to clothing articles is just about the worse thing I have ever seen, second only to the one legged cat suit.

2020 Fashion Trends That We Are Leaving Behind
Though I have never personally bought into the idea of global fashion trends, I have always been an avid observer. Personally, I prefer not to go out and find that I am adorned in the same outfit as ten other people. However, this is not to bash anyone who chooses to follow fashion trends. People should be free to embrace their concept of style and individuality and wear whatever they please without being scrutinized. This isn't to say that trend onlookers like myself don't have questions. It is beyond me why people will spend their hard earned money to be a part of these trends especially if it's primarily for an Instagram photo-op. Like many, I like to flaunt jaw-dropping outfits, but I also like to spend my money on things based on their usefulness.

Quarantine Trends
2020 was one of the weirdest years I’ve ever had. Sometimes it was amazing and sometimes horrible and the rest of it was downright bizarre. It felt like I had been warped into another dystopian universe. The birth of a new decade has created many fashion trends, some for the better and some are almost as grizzly as the virus itself.

Bulgy Sleeves Begone!
Puffy sleeves need to go the way of the dodo. I am not sure why anybody feels a need to increase their bicep area with layers of billowy fabric filled with air. Perhaps, many are trying to convey a secret message. Maybe it is a subconscious attempt to show their bosses and co-workers that they have spent hours and hours on tedious computer work in their home offices. Thus, they have developed super-hero sized arm muscles.

2020 wears no clothes
2020 was a lot of new things that we don't need to talk about right now...too soon, but there weren't a lot of new fashion trends. Shocking statement, i know! Everything that these influencers wore (or didn't wear) came from another era we already lived. Juicy Couture sweats, flared yoga pants, Doc Martins, scrunchies, even mullets made a come back! Most of the outfits you pin to your 'cute clothes' board on Pinterest most likely is a remake of something my mom wore in the 80's or 90's. (nothing wrong with that, love you mom) But we've come to a point of constant recycling of style, (which of course is great for the environment) and I haven't seen something new since "on fleek" eyebrows in 2014. And even then, eyebrows have been evolving since the start of time. So then there's the question, what style/fashion trend was truly 2020? ...Nothing. No clothing at all.
