One Last Ride
When NBA fans sit down to engage in conversation about the league’s best players, Kevin Durant is an immediate conversation starter. During the 2013-2014 season, Kevin Durant proved to NBA critiques that he was ready to start winning NBA championships. His 32 points per game average were accompanied by a consistent 50.3 field goal percentage for the season. Durant was awarded as the NBA’s most valuable player because he was one of seven players in NBA history to average 50 percent shooting from the field, 40 percent from the three-point line, and 90 percent from the free throw line. When fans look back and reflect on Kevin Durant’s incredible season, many forget that he was wearing an Oklahoma City Thunder jersey while doing so.

Could This Be the Best Basketball Player of All-Time?
When it’s all said and done, where will we rank Stephen Curry on the all-time list? For now, let’s shift our focus to the present. Although, I will not mind speculating that he may be the greatest basketball player to ever step on the court. Okay, okay, back to business. His presence on the court yells for attention. The ability to continuously get open creates a team dynamic, which in a sense brings an unselfish style of play. With the ball, without the ball, Stephen Curry's style of play is compared to none before him. The poise to deliver over and over again allows for Head Coach Steve Kerr and Ownership to sit back and enjoy their Piña Coladas.

The Luck Has Run Out
For the Boston Celtics, the 2019 NBA playoffs have been a humbling experience. Since advancing from the first round of the playoffs, the Celtics have been experiencing tremendous trouble against their semifinal opponent Milwaukee Bucks. The pressure fell on the shoulders of Kyrie Irving on Wednesday night as the Celtics had to win in order to fight for an Eastern Conference Finals birth. After finishing the first quarter 2-9 shooting, Kyrie Irving and the Boston Celtics began to see their season come to an end as Giannis Antetokounmpo and company began to trash the defeated Celtics.

Relying on the Stars
The city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has adopted a mantra that has kept the appetites of victory-hungry fans satisfied during seasons of transition. "Trust the process," has been the slogan of the revamping era of one of the cities most beloved teams. The Philadelphia 76ers have made moves within the last five seasons that have prepared them for playoff contention. After a couple of years of waiting, and persistence, Philadelphia has a chance to play in the Eastern Conference finals. Their only obstacle has been Kawhi Leonard, and the Toronto Raptors.

The NBA Awards Discussion
MVP: Giannis Antetokoumpo This one is an easy one for me. Giannis is easily the MVP in my eyes, not only for his efficiency on the field, but the fact that he has helped the average Bucks become a juggernaut in the east. Now, Giannis has come out saying that he is not interested in the MVP race, and that he only cares about the Playoffs and finally getting out of the first round. His PER (player efficiency rating) is the best in the NBA, and that, to me, is what validates a player for the MVP award; a player that not only showcases his talent, but in turn, makes his entire team better. As a shooter and scorer, Giannis and Harden couldn't be at more opposite ends of the spectrum. With Giannis being that slashing shot creator that Kobe optimised, and Harden being that straight up sharpshooter that is a must in the modern NBA at the time. However, Giannis already has a better True Shooting percentage (64.2 percent—which is top 10 in the NBA).

Two Great Workouts for Basketball Players
Playing full court basketball is exhausting. Even if game strategy slows the transition pace of the game, you still have to shift your body, move quickly and jump frequently. The defensive end of the basketball court wears down players even more.

NBA Playoff Breakdown
Ding dong the King is dead, the wicked King, the wicked King. That’s right. After eight long, hard years of LeBron James dominating the Eastern Conference, his reign of terror is over. The Celtics can breathe. Pacers fans can rejoice. The Raptors can stop choking. The East no longer runs through LeBron and is now wide open—for the top four teams. With that being said, let's break down the Eastern Conference first round playoff matchups.

The Ernie Grunfeld Era in D.C. Is Over...
Sixteen years... that's a long time to be a General Manager in the NBA. For long-suffering Wizards fans, it's been 16 years of near misses, disappointments, and just flat-out bizarre decision-making for an NBA franchise. For a hoops crazy metro area, that's practically dying for a winning basketball professional culture, the removal of Ernie Grunfeld as GM is a welcome and cathartic relief. As a fan that's old enough to remember the dark days of Wes Unseld as a GM, and the cavalcade of coaches and wasted draft picks that era represented. I can appreciate the job Ernie DID do, in terms of bringing talent to the squad at certain times, but the opposite can be said for his draft accumen, and overall stewardship of the team. Ultimately, the question on every fan's mind at this point is:

Redemption
March 16th, 2018 still haunts Tony Bennett. That day will forever live in college basketball lore. For 32 years, the top rated teams in the NCAA tournament had wrecked the lowest seeded teams. Number one seeds were 128-0 going into the 2018 tournament. Virginia was a well-oiled machine, going perfect in the hardest conference in college basketball. This was supposed to be their year.
