Travelling Thailand: The Poor Man's Guide
Where to Begin Travelling has always been something that I knew I needed to do. I think that the travel bug is something that you're born with; the desire to see the world for yourself. The problem with traveling, at least for most young people, is money. Traveling expenses can add up quickly especially if air travel and hotel stays are required. However, this should not deter a young traveler from seeking out adventure. This post is regarding my recent month-long stay in Thailand, and how we managed to make the most of our trip on a very limited budget. I will make a separate post regarding the culture of Thailand and the overall experience, for now this post refers just to money saving tactics and the best ways to get a big bang for your buck in the country of smiles.

The Scoop on Brighton
It's the UK's hottest recorded heatwave in 123 years (at least a meme I just saw on Instagram says so) and most of us are at a loss on how to deal with it. Do we stuff ice cubes down our bras before work? Do we lie face down on the grass and cry about the CO2 shortage that's pillaging our Prosecco supply? Fear not, my hot friends. Because a solution has been waiting for us all this time, and that solution is Brighton.

Stockholm on a Budget
My husband and I just made an unexpected trip to Stockholm this past weekend. I needed to get a new Residency Permit Card after receiving a permanent residency and Gothenburg (nearest migration agency) was booked until after the summer. So queue an impromptu trip when we didn't have the money saved up. We knew that if we went, we were going to stay for the weekend.

Figuring out Europe
The first few weeks of traveling were all so eye-opening. Where do I go? How do I get there? Should I learn some words of their language? What is the currency like? Where do I book my accommodation? All of these questions became a part of my everyday life so quickly, and got easier and easier as time went on. All of a sudden, it was second nature to be preparing a day or two ahead before I wanted to move on.

Cancun, Mexico seems like the perfect dream vacation destination with crystal blue water and palm trees swaying in the warm, balmy breeze. Mexico has a rich and beautiful culture and delicious cuisine and Cancun, part of Mexico known as the Mayan Riveria, is the ideal destination in which to bask in all that Mexico has to offer. A dream vacation destination like Cancun however, can also come with a giant price tag. Your dream vacation can be more affordable than you imagine.

Traveling at 20-Something
At the ripe age of 19, I traveled with a good friend of mine to the city of Madrid, Spain, to indulge in the magnificent culture and serve through missions. We saved every penny, support raised for months, and then eventually hopped on the plane for our eight hour flight. We spent a few weeks taking in the architecture, new people, and amazing cuisine.

What I Wish I Knew Before My International Travel
You've seen pictures of your friends and family traveling out of the country. Social media depicts an amazing experience that went exactly as planned. They swam with dolphins, made new friends, tried new food, and to top it all off, it only cost them "$5." OK, that last part is an exaggeration, but it always seems that everyone I know is able to travel and do more, and through it all, they found some incredible deals on flights.

Vienna, Austria
This past year I lived abroad as an au pair and travelled many places. Though everywhere I travelled to was incredible in its own way, Vienna, Austria, was one of my favorites. Traveling alone is a great experience that I would recommend to anyone if they feel comfortable, but meeting a travel buddy along the way is even better! On my bus ride from Prague to Vienna, I met a girl by the same name as me and we ended up making our way through Vienna together.
