A tale of wild adventure and extraordinary nature
Spending time in imagination to escape the mundane life... Deep within my belly, this aching was calling my name to leap into a wild adventure. This sensation that there was something to discover, there were people out in the open world that I was destined to meet, and there was something I needed to share with them. This burning desire for untamed adventure would swirl within me during uni lectures, during work shifts pouring coffees, and in conversations that only had half my attention. My weeks were the same routine, day in and day out. But in my daydreaming mind I would visualize worlds of green wilderness, eccentric characters that were overflowing with excitement. I would transport myself to the tops of mountains where the air was so clear it made my body float. I would travel to the deepest undiscovered forests of the world to sit among trees that seemed to tower into space. Slowly I began to spend more time in my imagination than in the reality surrounding me. As I slipped deeper into this golden and extraordinary world, it began to flow out into physical form.

A Week in Cancun
Imagine this: It's so hot out that you just want to run into cool, fresh water. Cancun is the exact place to do this. From sitting at the beach while being handed your drinks to being called Princesa and lying in your hammock letting the warm breeze float past you. Letting every ounce of stress leave your body.

Bringing Back Myself
It was 2016. I was armed with my brand-new passport, a full bottle of SPF 50 sunscreen, and the TSA Carry-On Restrictions list. I was packing for an eight-day study abroad trip with my fellow classmates, and of course, I had left it for the absolute last minute.

A Continental Trip
Going from -50 degrees to +40 degrees in the span of six months is definitely what I would call “climate change.” From the tiny middle-of-nowhere island in the Arctic, to one of the largest cities in Mexico, I can tell you right now that heat is not my style. My body is feeling the strain just a tad; going from Igloolik to Monterrey is definitely an adventure.

Costa Rica
Breeze exhales in your left ear. Inhale sea spray. Hot sun consumes the thick jungle and complexions, varnishing the lucky ones until they sparkle. Your boneless body slithers into a hammock. Shadows of palm fronds dance over bare legs, chased by sunbeams. Toenails resemble pink shells in the sand.
