36 WHEELS AND COUNTING
Well, where is the time going? It's hot! It's already July! Back on the 28th of June, the outside temperature was 106 degrees. Yes! That's what the overhead console displayed. Normally, the van's air conditioner blows ice-cold air. Sweating and drinking plenty of water, obviously, the 2006 Chrysler Town & Country van wasn't blowing and providing the comfortable air that we are accustomed to. It's not necessary to have air conditioning to travel from one point to another. That's true! Air conditioning is a luxury. In this Texas heat, it becomes a necessity.

Lemon Drop
So, there is the story of the Tweety Bird-yellow Cannondale CAAD4 that came into, out of and back into my life in serendipitous ways. I raced on that bike as a CAT IV and then III on the Green Mountain Bicycle Cycling team from 1997 - 2002. I named that bike Lemon Drop. Yellow, yes, but I thought I could reverse jinx myself and my racing career if I had “drop” in its name, a measure of karmic control so I wouldn’t “get dropped” from the peloton in any race, and the bike would perform perfectly, never showing signs that it was a “lemon.” That didn’t work though. Karmic control is an oxymoron afterall.

A Historic Waterwheel Returns to Family Roots Along the Riverbank
The story of a Historic Waterwheel Returns to Family Roots is more than a tale of wood and water. It is a story of memory, family honor, and deep love for local history. For many years, the old waterwheel stood silent near the bend of a quiet river. Time and storms had worn it down. The wood had faded. The iron had rusted. Yet the spirit of the wheel never faded in the hearts of the family who once built and cared for it.

What Really Happens to Your Car If You Skip Oil Changes for 10,000 Miles - Asked Car. AI-Generated.
I’ll never forget the engine teardown that stuck with me from my time at the University of Michigan. A grad student brought in his beat-up Honda Civic nothing fancy, just a daily driver with over 150,000 miles. He figured he was saving time and money by stretching oil changes. “I went maybe 12,000 miles once or twice,” he said with a shrug. When we pulled the valve cover, the sight hit us like a punch: thick, black sludge coating everything, varnish baked onto the camshaft like burnt sugar. The bearings were scored, the chain guides worn down to nubs. That engine wasn’t dying it was already dead. All because the owner treated oil changes like an optional suggestion.

How to Avoid Scams When Selling Your Old Vehicle
Letting go of an old vehicle should be straightforward. You agree on a price, exchange payment, sign the paperwork, and move on. In reality, the process can attract the wrong kind of attention. People looking for quick profit sometimes target private sellers who may not be familiar with common fraud tactics.

Are Online Car Buyers Better Than Dealership Trade-Ins?
If you are thinking about selling your car, you have probably asked yourself whether you should trade it in at a dealership or sell it to an online car buyer. Both options promise convenience. Both claim competitive offers. But which one actually gives you the better deal?
