Engagement Etiquette On Writing Platforms 101
What is engagement on a writing platform and why is there etiquette? Engagement on a writing platform is one of the many ways a writer networks, builds their audience, and forms connections. And for many of us on Vocal it's how we create strong friendships that last for chapters and chapters of our stories.

Memoirs Of The In-Between: Chapter 6
A few weeks of classes with the children proved useful. By the end of the week, I knew how to turn on the lamps that required energy, the history of Limbo, how CiCi had formed the Spirit Warriors with the help of Malakaii, and more about the Tisin and how souls moved through the cycle that fueled this world as well as many others. Things were much clearer, though there were still many questions to be asked. One day, Leon met me after class, a grin on his face as he looked at me.

The Living Statues of Orthavos. Top Story - November 2024.
"The river ran backwards on the day the Queen vanished," A soft melodious voice spoke quietly, as the sound of footsteps and water dripping echoed around the darkness in which the group was walking. The sting of ocean salt had stung their eyes as they went deeper into the cavern that they had taken a small boat to, off the coastal cliffs to the kingdom of Arataur.

The Greatest Baker And The B+ Foundation. Content Warning.
You Don't Have To Be A Parent To Imagine The Pain Of Losing A Child. It's a straightforward thing that even the cruelest, most selfish of humans can imagine. Even people who loathe the thought of children with the entirety of their existence know that when a parent does lose a child it's the most devastating thing in the world. I'm confident when I say that almost everyone (save for sociopaths and psychopaths) could empathize or sympathize with the mere thought of losing a child, to anything.

I Don't Talk About It A Lot But I Have 19 Years Of ...Paranormal Experience. Read this story and many others on Medium! I have a long history of cleansing negative energies from houses, and even removing unwelcome visitors from people. Spiritual attachments can be dangerous if left unchecked. Spiritual attachments, in my lineage, are defined as an unwelcome or unknown presence in the form of the manifestation of energy, whether that be spiritual energy or residual energy that is attached to one particular person or place.

Memoirs Of The In-Between: Chapter 5
Chapter 5 I woke up the next morning with sunlight hitting my face from the window. My body resisted the urge to get up at first. I was still tired, but I was surprised when I moved, my body was not sore. There was not a single ache in my body, and I found myself feeling a surprising respect for the fast-talking girl who came to visit me last night.

All photos were taken by Jessie Lynn Nelson from JLN Photography Making Memories As A Family Is A Huge Deal In My House I know I write a LOT about my family ootings (ooo-tings is the only correct pronunciation for 'Outing' anymore since we watched the anime Spy Family on Crunchy Roll). We don't get to do them often but when we do, we usually launch into our ooting at full energy. We take it seriously for many reasons, and each of them is trauma-related to our own childhoods.

Memoirs Of The In-Between: Chapter 4
Upon nearing the entrance to the city, we were greeted by calls from high on the top of the wall. I looked up to see what I assumed were black-garbed guards, waving down at us. Beyond the horizontal line of bubbles was the entrance to the city. A large gate opened outward by two doors, golden with protruding artwork in the shape of a large decorative shield – the same design upon the shield that CiCi held on her forearm. Above the wall, several large strange structures sat near the guards, and I noted some of the guards had long-range weapons such as bows and crossbows. I was staring at the strange arches, and large metal tubes that sat on rotating pivots, wondering what they were, when it seemed Vivian read my mind.
