Writing has become more important as I live with cancer. It's a therapy, it's an escape, and it's a way to do something lasting that hopefully leaves an impression.

Welcome Aboard The Galactic Express
The locomotive's rumbling engine shook the sleeping room as soft groans grew louder in the hall outside room six. Inside the small, private room lay a man opening his eyes and taking in his surroundings. The sleeping room was older, nearly an antique. The walls of the room, covered in cherry wood, had slight age marks. The man inside recognized that he wasn't in familiar surroundings.

Cooked Like We're In A Roaster
The bleached-looking rock toward the bottom is a sign of where the water once reached before the effects of historic drought, aptly called Megadrought, began to deplete the water from Lake Mead. A Letter From My Invisible Prison
People can be trapped in a country, without rescue, without recourse, and without hope of that changing. Realizing this was the case after reading an article about Portugal and seeing the pictures of such a beautiful place, I was again hit with the stunning realization that some are not allowed to leave the country where they are from. I fear, financial aspects aside, I will never see anywhere but the United States. Like most, I will likely not see much of my home country. I can no doubt thank Al Quaeda, ISIS, and other scumbag terror groups for this reality. I'll explain.

Well, that too is on you, like blood on your hands that you can’t wash away. I am talking about the sins of parenting. As soon as you create life, you’re responsible for how that life turns out.

Want To Be The Hero?
Life is known for throwing curve balls. Once in a while, one of them will hit us where it hurts the most. We might see a future that looks more promising. Maybe, there is light at the end of a metaphoric tunnel that shows we are near achieving a goal. Our demons catch us when we least expect them to.

Why Isn't More Self-Care Paid To Our Foundation
Our feet take a pounding. Good foot health is more important for active lives than people may understand. In the foot, there are 26 bones, 33 joints, and over 100 muscles, ligaments, and tendons. What that means, is that your feet are not only important but extremely complex. After all, they serve as the foundations of your structure. Your feet are the beginning of your day when you crawl out of bed, and how you treat them affects your support, posture, balance, and overall well-being. Mistreating, or just being ignorant of the needs of your feet, can lead to increased problems with knee pain, hip pain, and lower back pain.

A Way For More Things To Be All Sunshine And Roses
Why is the world so completely screwed up? It's not that bad. It just feels like it's headed in the wrong direction. It's the 21st century, and humanity hasn't learned much from the past. Some may find that assertion disagreeable. I challenge them to look into the past and see all the mistakes mankind has made, and then have repeated them.
