The Scooter
I kept seeing those orange electric scooters and the first time I loaded the app, it seemed a bit expensive for me for what you got, So I deleted it and decided the bus and shanks pony would be enough for me, but seeing kids and adults speeding around on them made me think it might worth trying just for local journeys where the bus is either infrequent or non-existent.

A Joyful Feline
A Feline Introduction The title is a play on words. Yesterday I was feeling really down due to a hospital visit, worry about the outcome and when I actually got there my appointment was over an hour late, and I was sure t least two people came after me but were seen before me by the consultant but that was probably just a paranoid delusion.

New Boots and Panties - Ian Dury and The Blockheads
My first exposure to Ian Dury was as lead singer with Kilburn and the High Roads (named after a road sign in the London area) with the album “Handsome” and songs like “Rough Kids” and “Bill Bentley”, and most of their songs were Dury originals. They were pub rockers with a cockney sparkle and Dury class.

Viva Glasvegas
Around 2008 in the same ballpark universe and country as the Jesus and Mary Chain, a name appeared that demanded an immediate investigation, and that name was Glasvegas. I can’t remember how I first heard them, probably on BBC 6Music but I heard them and immediately had to have that album.

Avalon by Roxy Music - A Beautiful Soundscape
Introduction - Me And Roxy Music I was into Roxy Music from when their first single was released, “Virginia Plain” which apparently referred to a painting that Bryan Ferry had done or seen with a woman smoking in an open land panorama, so “Virginia Plain” could have referred to the location, the cigarette or the woman. That was followed by their eponymous stylish first album blending rock and roll, electronics, and styles that made them unique. I saw Ferry as the songwriter and Eno as the soundscaper with help from Manzanera and McKay.

Love It To Death - The First Great Alice Cooper Album
Love It To Death is The First Great Alice Cooper Album I was listening to some albums in the Rhino Original Album Series this week and wrote about it in the piece below, and one of the sets was the Alice Copper one with their first five albums. The first two “Pretties For You” and “Easy Action” are very basic rock, although “Pretties For You” does contain “Reflected” which was resurrected as “Elected” on “Billion Dollar Babies” the band's last great album. People will probably disagree with me, but the band split after “Muscle of Love” which I don't rate that highly.

The Tale of Grand Theft Parsons
A Brief Introduction These are my own observations on the story behind the excellent offbeat film “Grand Theft Parsons” by David Caffrey and Jeremy Drysdale which was released to the world in 2003. I found the film both touching and funny and we will start with a little background to this story.

Plagiarism and Copyright
An Introduction The image above is from Slideshare Here There has been a lot posted about plagiarism recently and it is quite right that it is brought to the forefront and action taken where it occurs. The thing is that it has made me feel like the world’s biggest plagiarist because of the nature of my writing and has made me feel like I should drop out of the various Facebook Vocal groups because I am an effective writing criminal, though I will not leave unless asked to go or am actually removed. So here are a couple of definitions that I will work within this article which hopefully doesn’t get reported for plagiarism itself
