Can Prayer help?
Can Prayer help? Why Pray? The following has been compiled over some time, the words come and are written down, some from rational intellectual thought, others just come unbidden. It can never be a completed or “finished” essay since new thoughts and understandings come each and every day.:-

Listening and hearing are not the same thing
Listening and hearing are not the same What we hear and what is said may be different. More and more commercial activities now rely on telephone conversations, the larger companies claim to record these conversations, but has any “customer” been able to hear a play back of a disputed conversation? The interpretation of what words actually mean coupled with what being said is not always the same as what is heard; make this reliance on telephone conversations unsafe for the consumers.

Laws that lack definition can be undemocratic
Laws that lack definitions make money for lawyers Politicians and law makers must be precise. In Britain the law courts interpret the written laws passed by Parliament, they also create “laws of tort” which is where a decision made in one court enables a later court judgment, to use that decision as a precedent.

Fashion is a sales aid and nothing more
Fashion is a sales aid and nothing more. Fashion exists to make us part with our money Fashion is not as important as many will claim it is. Many things have a great deal more importance to the well-being of people than any artificial concept of being fashionable. The late Princess Diana was an example, in logically applied plain truth and viewed within the political reality of the governance of Britain, she was an ornament, a distraction from harsh reality, but those around her, who all had agendas of their own, persuaded her that she had real importance. That her fashionable image, was vital to life. That her every word, gesture and application of cosmetics were vital to worldwide happiness.

The path from idealism to dictatorship
The path from idealism to dictatorship The path to hell is paved with good intentions Comments from Jeremy Corbyn- For non-British readers he is a socialist ideologist probably a well-meaning and committed person but who just does not live in the real world. His “mantra” on how we should all live is:-

WE ARE NOT ALONE AND NEVER HAVE BEEN
We are not alone and never have been Even if you cannot see it, it may be there Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Except, may be, the creature that is screaming, even then it is argued that in a vacuum there can be no transmission of sound waves from mouth to ears, that may be true for humans, but not all the inhabitants, of all the galaxies, are human. Space is vast, infinitely vast. It is so big that it is beyond human comprehension, but it is not empty. It is so close to being empty that it is OK to call it a vacuum. But strange forces live and operate in that near vacuum. Human scientists call this “dark matter and dark energy,” because they do not understand it, but then human science is very new and only just beginning to search for real understanding. The race of beings, the “Ocerons” were old before Gaia allowed humans to start their evolution. Compared to most species in the universe, the evolution from organic slime to science studying by humans, was very fast. This may be due to the short life spans of humans or it may be due to Gaia wishing to catch up with other living planets. The sentient planets communicate with each other, through the dark energy and Oceriton was a much older planet than Gaia and was always sending disparaging messages about how backward the puppet life forms raised by Gaia were, compared to her own. Gaia had always pretended she was not annoyed by this and had countered with boasts about the huge diversity of puppet life forms she had raised while Oceriton only had a single species to her credit.

Energy the global future
Energy- the global future Logic to be applied to political decision Some politicians are fond of claiming “we” should not cut “Green Energy Taxes” as in end green energy will provide cheaper electricity and so save money for everybody. This argument seems to depend on the concept that solar energy does not cost anything, as it comes from the sun for free.

Only one direction
Only one direction. Fate on rails I later, found that it must have been about 8am on Saturday when I gradually became aware that I existed. My first impression was that this is very pleasant, relaxing. I was warm and comfortable lulled by gentle rocking and a quiet humming sound. Then I opened my eyes and that caused a change, to alarm and puzzlement. I was in a train, a railway train that was travelling at quite a high speed over a featureless landscape. There was just the gentle humming sound, no clatter. I was alone in a long open carriage, my alarm increased when I could not recall how I came to be here, or where I was going, not even who I was. What was I doing in an empty carriage? I forced the panic and alarm to one side and started to think logically, if I was on a train, I would have a ticket, and this might show departure and destination locations. I searched my pockets, nothing I was dressed casually in jeans, tee shirt and trainers, no socks, no hat, no wristwatch. I had no bags or luggage of any sort. I got up to try and find other passengers, I was going to risk being thought an idiot by asking where we were all going. Problem was there were no other passengers in the carriage and when I walk to the ends of it, I found the doors to other carriages locked, I peered through rather grimy windows into the adjoining carriages but could not see any people at all. I found a door in the side of the carriage but that also was firmly locked, this may be due to safety systems in a speeding train. I found all the windows sealed shut. I tried to judge how fast we were going but the land we were passing through was flat and totally without features of any sort, no reference points to judge speed. It was also all grey, totally uniform one colour I sat to try and hold my increasing anxiety at bay, by remembering personal details but nothing, I could not remember thing. I had my normal physical sensors Smell sight sound touch; I was aware time was passing I tried counting to 20 and reciting the alphabet, these all Ok so I had cognitive capacity but absolutely no memory.

Firstly, an important notice regarding this essay:- Those unfortunate enough to be suffering from cancer or any degenerative affliction; may be warned against the spreading of the diseased cells around the body, there are several opinions and so many differing advisory ideas about this. It is very important that you always consult a trusted medical expert who understands your individual and specific condition and needs, before changing any aspect of your life.

WHEN LIGHT SHOWS
When light shows. Darkness is not a friend The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night, a candle burned in the window. It was only seen by an owl and a vixen; both left the woods as fast as wings and legs could carry them. The woods went silent. All the creatures of the night found shelter and shut down all their hunting, hunger was preferable to what was going to emerge from that cabin. None were alive at the last time it happened, but all were instinctively aware of what could happen this time. Time itself seem to freeze almost as if the moon and stars were trying to avoid being witness to the future.
