Doctor Loyalty
Most of us know someone who is guilty of this: Their/your general practitioner/primary care provider is 65–70 years old, can’t remember their/your surname (medical receptionists are the best!), and their type of care hasn’t changed in 30 years. On the other hand, the doctor/physician could be young, full of energy, and a little too arrogant for your liking, but “they have great reviews, and they helped me in a bad spot a few years ago” so you keep going to them; not out of urgency but out of loyalty.

Do You Still Remember Your Bully’s Birthday?
There’s something my readers need to know for the purpose of this post: I’m a bit odd. Not the quirky “Ooh, look at my collection of cool rocks or skulls/I’m into Tarot and the moon” and shit, more like “I have a collection of broken glass that I used to break with my own hands in school and now my palms are as thick as leather” and “I created a language to go with the world in my head and I use this language and symbols around the flat and pretend that people don’t look at these symbols and writing and quickly glance at me to make sure I’m not trying to hex them” odd. There are a lot of other examples, but if I gave all of these examples, this post could turn into a short novel.

Living Apart From Your Family
My family moved out of the country in 2013. I chose to stay behind with my now–husband because I knew I would never see him again if I had gone with my parents. It was the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make, but I think it was the right one for me. We are a close family, which made it even more difficult, and the plan was to meet them in the new country after a few years. This is still the plan, but “We’ll meet you there in four or five years” turned into “We’ll meet you there in about ten to twelve years after you left because life kinda sucks and moving is expensive”.

What No One Tells You About Grief
Most of us have lost a close family member or friend. That person who helps you through the day without even realizing it. That person whom you’ve known for so long that you can’t remember a time without them. The problem is, life can kinda suck sometimes, and with that, it can suck the happiness out of your day-to-day without you realizing what’s happened.
