7 Reasons Why You Should Meditate Daily
Meditation is a practice that has exploded into the mainstream in the last ten years due to the fast spreading wellness movement. But I'm willing to bet there are still quite a few people out there that just think they don't have the time, or that it's boring. Maybe just don't understand the true benefits of adding a short 10-minute practice to your daily routine. I know I didn't want to mess around with it when I first heard of it from a good friend of mine. But I was really suffering from anxiety and depression. No meds worked for me. I became curious. I started out with just 10 minutes in the morning. And you know what? Within about a week, I was in love. I want to share with you a list of my 7 favorite reasons why I believe you should meditate daily. I hope you give it a try.

Turning Down the Near Sound
I knew how important it was for me growing up to develop familiarity with silence. I spent hours and hours in nature, in silence, listening outwardly and inwardly, or imitating sounds. I grew to appreciate space, physically and mentally, as I practiced stilling my thoughts completely. I found that if I stopped thinking completely, the animals around me didn’t notice me. I figured at the time that I had turned invisible to them. Now I realize that I was temporarily dissolving my ego by suspending myself in what mystics call the Present Moment.

The Story of Mikao Usui – The Founder of Reiki Healing System
Some people may have only recently heard about energy healing and Reiki because of its growing popularity. Not many realise that Reiki energy has been around for at least thousands of years. In fact, some believe that it has been around since the beginning of time. However, it was a Japanese Buddhist priest named Mikao Usui who discovered Reiki in his search for the purpose of life and enlightenment.

5 Ways to Make Mindful Moves
In our society everything moves incredibly fast and it's no different with the time we are given. There are so many of us grinding, trying to pack in as much from our To Do list as possible. At times, we feel like we are either running in circles or on fumes. It's easy to feel burned out and stressed all around. Our tendency is to keep it moving, no matter how burnt out we feel. We still have to work, accomplish those goals, raise our kids, get our studying in, and spend quality time with our loved ones.

Listening to Your Own Silence
Sometimes the most recognizable form of disruption that we, as humans, register is noise. That noise comes in the form of yelling, stomping, slamming, bar graphs, lists, obligations, financial problems, schedules, friendly banter, unnecessary banter, 24-hour news cycles, and unexpected rocky bumps in the road. The list is as long as the dictionary. I can ask you to sit down and write out every form of internal dialog that you had with yourself since you woke up this morning and I bet that you would just be able to graze the surface.

ASMR: My Top Ten Artists
Have you ever heard someone speak and the tone of their voice gave you “brain tingles?” Does watching something mundane like watching someone draw help you to relax? Does binaural whispering make you feel fuzzy all over? This is ASMR: Autonomic Sensory Meridian Response and it is wildly popular. It’s a technical term for the feeling that some people get from aural and/or visual stimuli that causes them to feel levels of euphoria.
