The state of being in great health, and continually striving to attain all of your goals.
Feel All Your Feelings To Transform Your Life
Let me start with a narrative that almost all of us experience in our heads sometimes: We sense an uncomfortable feeling arising inside us. As soon as we sense it, our mind starts weaving a story around that feeling — Why do I feel this way? I shouldn’t be feeling sad, fearful, anxious, {insert any uncomfortable feeling}.

In Praise of Doing Nothing.
Switch off attention; engage your Default Mode Network. My early morning run usually takes me to Richmond Park or along the river Thames. On either run, for at least six months of the year, I get the sunrise on my face as my 6-kilometre loop brings me back home. The only decision I make is before I start; deciding which route of several to take. After that, it is almost entirely unconscious. My playlist prepared, my earbuds plugged into my ears, I have 40 minutes of doing nothing except listening, putting one foot in front of the other and watching the sunrise. A moment to switch off, be in the moment, relax and prepare for the day ahead.

My Wellness Goal
Last year was quite an emotional rollercoaster. This year started off with the same level of intensity. The general uncertainty of political and health related issues made me realize one fundamental fact: I do not control much. However, what I can control is myself, and to a lesser extent, my home environment. Armed with this knowledge, I have resolved to improve myself to the best of my ability. I plan to become more healthy in 2021 than I was in 2020. I am a big fan of setting goals that are SMART: specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and on a timeline.

Acceptance
We’re humans. Not slates. We can never start over. We can never be clean. The etchings of our past will forever mark our minds. We’ve even seen that on a global scale over the past year--countries still struggling with a collective history that paved the way for what’s unfolding now. But that doesn’t mean all is lost for us. My favorite thing about being alive is having a fresh opportunity each and every day to change the way I live. And what’s the first step to changing what you can control? Ironically, it is accepting what you cannot control. Simply accept life for what it is, and the rest will follow.

2021 New Years Wellness Plan and Execution
2021 New Years Wellness Plan and Execution If 2020 taught me nothing it taught me to cherish every moment and to be in a constant state of humbleness and gratitude. The past year had many surprises and it brought about change I may not have wanted or desired. I committed myself to try and learn something new, grow and help others in some small to be a blessing to others by serving in my own way.

To My Body, I Heal
I don't think it really sank in for me about how important what I ate was-until I sat in the Doctor's office with a full blood panel in front of me. October 2020 was when my body decided it needed to become exhausted, nauseated and keep me up most of the night. It was after week two that I made the call to the Doctor-and within another week was sitting across from her with the blood results in my hands.
