Poem responding to my recent Autism diagnosis and my love of footnotes...
I began to emerge 1
Straight into diversity 2
And safe validity 3
1 Aided by the internet
autistic people
were able to connect
and began sharing
their experiences.
2 Others meanwhile
are neurodivergent
with brains that are built
and work
somewhat differently
3 In the Uk
at least one percent
of people
are said
to be neurodivergent
