Spring Time Haiku
March is nearly here
Springtime leaps in like a lamb
The sun burns my skin

When Winter Loosens Its Grip
March stands at the gate with softened breath,
A pale gold morning resting on the hill,
The frost retreats in quiet surrender,
And light spills freely where it once lay still.
Springtime steps forward, gentle as a lamb,
Not timid now, but certain in its claim,
The fields awaken under tender skies,
And every bud remembers its true name.
The sun, once distant, presses warm on skin,
A welcome fire after months of grey,
It kisses earth with bold and shining hands,
And drives the lingering cold away.
Bare branches tremble into fragile green,
Small promises unfolding in the air,
The hush of winter thins to silver threads,
As brighter hours gather everywhere.
We breathe more deeply in this mellow glow,
Coats loosen, hearts begin to rise,
Footsteps grow lighter on the waking ground,
With softer winds and clearer skies.
Happy warm end of winter drawing near,
Your chill has taught us how to see,
The beauty of returning light and heat,
And all the hope that longs to be free.β€οΈπβ€οΈ
