How to Shop Better
Sustainability has been a hot topic as of late, and rightfully so. While I have endeavoured to take steps towards living more sustainably in many aspects of my life; for example, using reusable products instead of disposable plastics and recycling the plastic I do use, using eco-friendly kitty litter and compostable doggy bags, buying digital magazine subscriptions instead of hard copies… I will admit that my shopping habits have not lived up to my environmental ideals. Here and there I’ve invested in sustainably made pieces such as my Reformation jeans, but then I’ll fall back to buying however many cheap items from ASOS just because I fall in love with the look.

The Real Reason You Can't Wear White After Labor Day
There has been a debate for a while now that I never really understood. This rule is not necessarily enforced in the fashion world these days. Still, we have all heard the fact that we shouldn't wear white after Labor Day or before Memorial Day. Why is this?

Why Do French Girls Dress so Well?
My 1993 purple taffeta Paramus Mall junior prom dress with the bling bling diamonte sash certainly reads Saved by the Bell on steroids photos. While I love a tacky throwback picture, I realise I too was, well… Tacky. Don’t get me wrong, I embrace and celebrate tacky, however, I’m now able to be cognisant of my inherent tackiness. When I embrace my inner tacky, I’m wearing pieces that are ethically sourced, well made, and well wearing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s really tough to stay out of Zara, but I’be found ways to make it pretty fun. Benefit - I save a lot of money in the process.

What You Need to Know Before Purchasing Denim Jeans
We have all had this situation happen to us. You go to the store and try on multiple pairs of denim jeans. No matter what you try, you feel like they all make you look wide and create a soggy butt appearance. After jumping into several pairs, you leave feeling defeated and hateful towards your body.

How to Avoid Fast Fashion
Today, the fashion world is overwhelmed with fast fashion options. Fashion retailers, like H&M, Urban Outfitters, Zara, and GAP all follow the “fast fashion” model—that is, a business model in which these stores push out the latest trends as quickly as possible, sacrificing both quality for consumers and fair wages for workers.

Thrift Shopping
I was once as dubious towards thrifting as you probably are. My first thought when walking past a local St. Vinnies was “Why would I go and buy secondhand clothes when I could just buy cheap new ones?” And for years I had never even step foot into a thrift store because of misconceptions I had. The clothes in here are dirty, they are only for the elderly, I can just get things from K-Mart were common excuses that I made when thinking about thrifting. But what I found from finally putting my inhibitions behind me is that thrifting is so much more than buying clothes. It’s about helping people out, it’s about reusing clothes to stop waste, it’s about finding something new that you never would have thought you could like. Thrifting just has such a different energy in today’s throwaway society.

5 Features to Look for in Motorcycle Jackets
Motorcycle riding serves a range of purposes beyond just letting drivers steer around the city. Whether it be an off-road challenge or a classic open road airing, riding is never about a destination, but the sensation of becoming an unstoppable force while the journey lasts. And, you want to look cool while doing it, of course.
