activism
Feminist activists are not deterred by the daunting statistics so much as they're fueled by them.
Women should have the right to rule the world!
The women's movement consists of women and men working together to achieve gender equality and to improve the lives of women in all social groups. In many societies, women are locked up as daughters, wives, and mothers at home, and we know that women have a history of relationships with famous men.

International Women's Right
The International Women's Rights Action Watch (WRAW) organized in 1985 in Nairobi, Kenya at the Third International Women's Conference to promote the recognition of women's rights under the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) and other international human rights treaties. . IWRAW is based on the belief that the rights of women and girls are essential to promoting equality between women and men and that this can be achieved through international human rights policies and procedures. These treaties prevent discrimination based on sex and oblige countries to ensure the protection and implementation of women's rights in a property, non-violence, equal access to education, and participation in government.

In A Women’s Head
So, we are women. Big deal. Growing up, I remember just how different the world was. Well at least to women anyways. Y’all, I’m 26. I know what you’re thinking. Well, maybe not. “You’re so young!” I know. “What could you possibly have learned by 26.” And I always laugh about this, because let me tell you I have learned so much.

What is Like to be a Young, Black Women in America
In life, people are always thrown challenges that they need to overcome and move past to life on with one's life, but when a certain group of people have it much harder than others it can be much harder to move past. For example, African Americans on average have it much harder than other groups due to discrimination in the work place and also while during everyday tasks. Another group that are marginalized is women often there is a stigma that women are less than men and this can be reflected in one's pay in the work place and also discrimination regarding intelligence and other attributes. Lastly, the younger people of these groups are often undermined because of being young meaning that they do not know as much because they have not been around as long as other people have.

#MeToo #YesAllWomen
Originally written on Medium in June 2018... There has been a lot of talk about the #MeToo Movement. Some, including Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, Catherine Deneuve and Vladimir Putin, have decried it as a 'Witch hunt', a 'Conspiracy' or - ironically - 'insulting to women' on the basis that it treats them like children incapable of setting boundries.

Sexual abuse, rape and torture in Mississipi
THIS IS NOT OK . I am a writer and I help people. Sometimes the price for my services are high and well worth every cent. However, the story which moved me to tears, and which must be heard, landed on my desk yesterday.

Real Life Tips For Women In A World That Doesn’t Do Enough To Protect Us
In my youth, the word “rape” just wasn’t something you heard of very much in the small towns of the sleepy South. I can still remember when we would go to sleep or go into town and leave our doors unlocked. We didn’t worry about someone coming into our home and doing unspeakable things.

Why I reported a lewd text to the police
Today I went to the police to report an incident of sexual harassment. I wasn’t going to at first. I was going to accept his apology that the lewd text he sent me was an error of judgement during a moment of intoxication. But then I thought about it. This wasn’t going to go away. It might be forgiven and forgotten but there would be another incident.
