What Is the Kalutara Hollow Stupa and Why Should You Visit?
At first glance, the stupa rising beside the Kalu Ganga in southern Sri Lanka looks like many others across the island—white, serene, and unmistakably sacred. But the moment you step closer, you realise this is something entirely different. The Kalutara Bodhiya is home to one of the very few hollow stupas in the world, a structure that invites devotees and visitors not just to circumambulate it, but to enter it. This single architectural distinction transforms the site from a visual monument into an immersive spiritual experience.

Teslas in Tbilisi
When I arrived in Tbilisi in August 2025, I noticed right away how many Tesla cars this city had. I obviously don't have the exact stats but it seems like they are everywhere and there's a lot more of them compared to other large cities I've been to.

The beast
The beast It was early in the 1970`s and I was the geeky kid at school. You know the one that carried a briefcase instead of backpack. The occasional saving grace that kept me from complete social isolation was my brother. Six years my elder and a biker. He would, when the mood strike him, pick me up outside the gates of my all boys secondary school on his motorbike. This was not just any bike, this was "the beast". A full on cafe racer from the 1960`s These were the days before the Japanese had taken over. Before fiberglass fairings and disc brakes and engines the size and weight of a small house.. A Triumph 110, the precursor to the Bonneville although any resemblance to the factory model had long since past. The 650cc engine had been fitted with 11-1 compression pistons that made kick starting it a risky art form. Twin carbs and a 2 into 1 swept up exhaust. Four leading shoe front brakes that left the front wheel spokes no longer that a large match stick Twin leading shoe brakes on the back and an aluminium 5 gallon fuel tank. Clip-ons and rear sets forced the rider into a near prone position hunkered down with his chest embracing the tank. The whole sight was a vision of black and silver, aluminum and chrome with just one nut on the front wheel painted red as a highlight. Like I said, a classic 60`s cafe racer. Dad said "Son one say that bike will kill you". He could not have been more wrong.

Are Hybrid Cars A Smart Choice For Today’s Drivers?
A hybrid car uses two different power systems working together: a petrol engine and an electric motor. Instead of relying on one source of energy, the vehicle decides which system to use based on speed, changes in speed and how the vehicle is driven. At lower speeds, such as when moving through city streets or sitting in traffic, the electric motor often takes the lead. When higher power is needed, the petrol engine steps in. This combination is designed to reduce fuel use while keeping the driving experience familiar for everyday motorists.

The Ghost Shift: 440 Horses and a Haunted Highway
The 1970 Dodge Challenger didn’t belong in this decade. It was a block of matte-black iron in a world of plastic electric bubbles. I sat in the driver’s seat, the idle of the 440 Magnum engine vibrating through my spine—a mechanical heartbeat that felt more real than anything else in Las Vegas.
