The Future Could Be Hungry - Good Thing I've Started A Homestead
Earlier this year, the price of eggs was all people could talk about. I'm not sure about other countries but America is struggling. Inflation has driven the price of even the most basic foods to prices that are hurting people. And it's driving a lot of people to take food solutions to money problems seriously.

5 Kitchen Items That Save Me Time
Cooking is apparently making a comeback. At least I hope it is. For those like me, who wish to feed their children relatively healthy, cooking is the most affordable option (especially in America). With fast food rapidly declining in quality and increasing in price, and pre-packaged food companies all beginning to have less than reputable histories of harmful products (as well as inflation), more and more people are going back to basics.

Feminism Has Lost Her Identity
Ladies and Gentlemen....welcome to my unpopular opinion.... again. I remember learning about the women's rights movement in school. I remember not understanding how the world had come to the conclusion that women were not equal to men, and why women had to fight for the right to work in the first place.

Would a Sword Be Stronger Than My Pen?
This piece is dedicated to Francisco Iglesias on Medium. He and I had such a healthy conversation, and we challenged ourselves to write an article like this one each. I'm so glad he gave me his time with our conversation, and I hope that I've helped inspire him in some way.

Thicker Than Water - More Potent Than Blood
This article is inspired by Heather Hubler's Friends Among Us Challenge! Friendship is selfless. That one time I was homeless because of a flood, and for months my friends let me live with them while my home was being worked on.

I Respected You - Until You Disrespected Me With Your "Good Intentions"

I Taught My Son To Make Grilled Cheese
The coolest thing happened today. It all started with a little tantrum. But, not really a tantrum, more like very vocal disappointment. There was no more ham for a sandwich. The devastation. The RUIN! He was going to starve to death.

Anecdotes From A Mom's Ear
7/11/2024 - Inmate ID: Aylaina Sky Author's Own Photo I hand my five-year-old daughter a couple of adult women's gummies and I tell her: "Hand these to your Auntie for me." I say, directing over the barricade we have set up to prevent officially-2-year-old inmate Alexander from having free range of the house.

A Review of MagiQuest In Pidgeon Forge, TN
Today is a change-up from my usual form. In my articles highlighting the areas around my home, I try to focus on little unknown nuggets to the world. And I try to steer clear of tourist-trap kinds of articles - unless I go and they are outstandingly good experiences ... or really bad (hey, I'm not going to let my fellow family fun-seeking adventurers waste precious time and money on something that was crap).

Reasons Why SNHU Is NOT The College For... Anyone.
There are just some experiences you don't wish on anyone, not even your enemies. Trying to continue your education is already difficult. First of all, you have to know what you want to do with your life or have a semblance of an idea of what you might want to do. You have to make a choice - what degree do you want? What degree level do you want to get for your chosen career path? How many years are you willing to dedicate your life to earning that? Then you've got to research the best schools for the degree, apply to the school (and HOPE you get accepted), apply for scholarships, and deal with FAFSA and student loans. Then you get to spend the next 2 to 10 years working your ass off studying (while maintaining financial stability somehow).
