Endless - a Linux-Derived OS and a Laptop on Easy Terms
Endless has just announced that testing of Version 5 of their Endless OS distro has just commenced. The story grabbed me because living on a boat as I do, I got heartily peed off with MS Windows. My bandwidth is often severely restricted and the endless bloatware updates were hammering me. The final nail was not being able to turn off automatic updates.

Talking Turkey With Your Voice
What happens if a computer system copies your voice? Do you have any legal protection? It may not be an issue for me, but, if say you’re Tom Jones or Beyonce then you might object to a song being released with an artificially generated voice that sound exactly like you.

Refuelling Electric Scooters and Rickshaws
Months ago I wrote about refuelling electric cars by swapping batteries. Then, China took up my idea… And now India is on course to do the same with electric scooters, motorcycles and rickshaws. It’s starting from the top down there, driven by law.

Refuelling Electric Cars - An Alternative Approach?
The anger trigger for writing I just got excited — angry actually — by a BBC story I just read. So now I’m writing. Why? Well, I’m a big motor-racing fan, not a buff exactly, but I’ve followed Formula 1 since I was a boy (I even rebuilt an engine in my college room).

I Was One Handshake from Castro
It’s a commonly held perception that anyone is only six or less social links (degrees of separation) away from any other living person on this planet, whether it’s the President of Russia or one of the Kardashians, perish the thought. It’s also known as the six handshakes rule, although ‘rule’ seems a rather strange word in the context.
