Bio
I am a 78-year old grandmother who loves to write, fish, and grab my camera to capture the beautiful scenery I see around me.

Gadgets and Gizmos
When I first used the word Gadgeteer, I had no idea there were so many like me, a person who invents or is particularly fond of using gadgets. For that matter, we all own so many things we might have never considered them as “gadgets”, yet they are.

Writer's Block
There are some that will argue that there is no such thing as a writer’s block. I truly admire those who can sit at a desk and begin writing immediately. Very often, I can’t get my body and brain to join forces and give my ambition a kick where it belongs to jump start me into motion. In my own defense, and it isn’t an excuse, just a fact, I’m not lazy. I just have a few health issues that make me more tired than usual. Once the doctors can pinpoint my problem, hopefully the proper meds will help. We’ll see. For the time being, I try to take full advantage of my good days. Like today!

My Threesome
We’re sitting on the couch; he’s watching his usual movie on Netflix. I, as usual, am not interested. I’ve seen it before. Actually, we’ve seen it before but just as usual, he’d fallen asleep and now has no recollection of it. So, he watches it again. I wonder how long it’ll be before he falls asleep tonight and misses the second go-round of the movie – which I found boring in the first place.

Its new life didn’t last too long but the plant lived for a few months before it decided it was better off without me.

Y - after the storm
Ah! Dancing. I know there are people who don’t like to dance. However, I personally don’t know many of them. In fact, there is only one of my friends you’ll never find on the dance floor. Let me clarify that. SHE won’t be caught on the dance floor. Most of my female friends are like me. Play music and our feet are twitching. Most of my male friends, however, including my husband need to be dragged onto the dance floor for even the slowest dances, forget about anything with an upbeat.

Not One Bean On The Floor
I have written several stories about my childhood when my brother and I were in an organization called The Sea Cadets of America. To refresh, it was an organization run by adults but geared for children beginning with their ninth birthdays. How long you stayed in the organization was left to the decisions of the children and their parents. Most children didn’t stay past their sixteenth birthdays unless they planned on becoming part of the team of adults who ran the group.
