Geard processional bride to be walks with grandpa her life starts today ``` Author's note: The cover image inspired my haiku. My youngest daughter, Blessed, was married a couple of years ago, and the photo I captured of my father walking her down the garden ("geard" Old English) wedding aisle will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Blowing Smoke
Thick white plume gushes from flue pipes, a balcony view. Negative five degrees; I sit. I watch. I think. Blowing smoke sends clouds a confirmation. My cloudy vision readjusts; head nod to cumulus and all things I thought I knew. Furnace breathing system exhales, and I realize false information often misleads me.
