Marathoner What Ifs
Marathoning can produce the ultimate highs, but is also cautioned to some of the darks lows. Running is so much more than moving one foot in front of the other. It’s strategic, willful, emotional, and mental. If one area is off, it leaves room for so many things can go wrong. Twenty-six miles is a long time! It’s easy to run through a list of negative what ifs as you prep for a marathon. What if...

Bouncing Back From a Burn Out
Exactly a week ago, I reached the bottom of a different pit. I had never been there before. The entire week I had been chasing after two major personal deadlines but all this work was after-hours. For small business owners who are still employed full-time, this may sound familiar. The only time you get to touch your business with no distractions, is when you get home. Imagine, a ‘normal’ day in a retail pharmacy ... I am on my feet pretty much the whole day, my jaws are sore from all the smiling (fake at times) and my emotions are bruised from the insults I get from dissatisfied customers. By the time I clock-out, all that’s on my mind is my bed. Food can wait and we repeat the routine come the next day. This time around, I was presented with an opportunity to pitch towards something that could change my life completely (still too early to tell) and there was no way I was going to let it slip through my fingers. And so I researched, revealed my soul, drove my tired body to the edge and my brain was in overdrive till it was literally over-heating. I remember the next day, I had to try cool my head using an ice-pack but that didn’t help much. Suddenly, I was lethargic and the day turned out to be the longest I have ever lived. The work was submitted on time BUT I was officially burnt-out.

Things You Shouldn't Say or Do to People with Tourette's
Having Tourette's is frustrating enough. Your mind is constantly thinking about a thousand different things at a time. You tic constantly and try to keep it under control with no avail. It's a struggle to be in certain places where being silent is crucial, like movie theaters and plane rides. The list goes on and on.

5 "Tips" to Surviving Cancer
Yes, I know, a morbid start, but I promise it gets better! When I was in high school, I was living the life. I had a great GPA, amazing friends, a loving family, and was killing it in sports. But all that came to a halt when I was 17 in the middle of my junior year.

Signs You're Stressed (And Don't Even Realize It). Top Story - January 2019.
No one likes to be stressed out—but it’s not just unpleasant. As science has started to show, stress is actually very dangerous for your health. Temporary levels of stress cause heightened levels of cortisol, a hormone that promotes belly fat and inflammation throughout your body. Prolonged levels of stress are linked to heart attack, stroke, obesity, sleep disturbances, and mood swings.

Why Vape?
People have been smoking for almost as long as there have been people. Tobacco and marijuana have long been among the most popular (though by no means the only) smokable substances. Smoking has had its ups and downs—tobacco smoking rates have declined significantly in the United States over the past 50 years, and smoking rates reached a low of 14.5 percent in 2016, down from 42.4 percent in 2017 (though marijuana smoking remains extremely popular)—but it has remained relatively unchallenged in its niche. Until now.
